Event: Reunion Lunch

The reunion dinner is a chinese tradition for every family to have on Chinese New Year's Eve. So it represents many values such as prosperity and unity in the family for the year to come. It wouldnt be too off for my other family outside to have a reunion lunch. We went to Paragon in hope for Ding Tai Feng but alas, it was closed. So we went next door to this i-dunnoe-how-to-spell-but-its-something-like-spagetti to get some good food. Mine wasnt too nice but the five cheese pizza that i suggested that we should share as a group was not half bad.

all the shy shy people

five cheese pizza, shiok!

they said we got to go starbucks to get my addiction for green tea frap fixed

Ramblings: Why I Am A Geek

My uncle told me there's no phones from Apple just now during the reunion dinner.

You had NO IDEA how much i needed a respirator at that point. I was breathless i swear. Thank goodness he later reveiled that he actually knows the existance of the iPhone.

Oh my god i cannot talk to people who are technologically declined.

Example: people who still carry first generation digital camera around, people who do not know how to make a playlist using their iTouch, people who dont know what is OS Leopard, people who buys a internal or external harddisk of less than 300gb capacity since august last year, people who mistaken Zen Stone Plus as Ipod Shuffle.

I condemn all of you to the bottom of my technological idiots list!

Event: Last Minute Shopping

I absolutely dislike crowds and cannot stand staying on the same spot in a crowded place. See, that's the big difference between the way guys and girls shop. I'd like to zoom in and buy whatever i want, which i should know before hand. But in this stupid occasion which i'm forced to buy clothes intentionally, and clothes which are not black at that, i'm at a loss for what to buy. And even if i saw something that i'm interested in, i went forward hoping to try, i would most likely give up if something causes me not to be able to try at first instance. For example, another customer is taking his own sweet time to try, or a customer trying to haggle with the shopowner. Here's my frustrating journey to last minute shopping on saturday from 1pm onwards.

1pm - leaves house, head for Bugis Street
1.20pm - alights at Boon Keng station hoping to take 147 or 847 to go straight to Bugis, had to navigate since the bus stop wasnt right outside the station as i expected
1.35pm - reach Bugis Street, horrified at the crowd
2.00pm - combed the entire street, more trying to get away from the crowd than browsing for clothes
current mood - sianified
2.10pm - saw a orange polo with white stripes, decided to walk to the end of the walkway before doing a 180 degrees turn to buy that shirt
2.15pm - waited at the side while a beng-plus-slut-looking couple tried to haggle with the owner from 12 bucks to 10 bucks. couldnt stand it anymore and left.
current mood - roll eyes
2.20pm - saw a silver tie that i want but reckon that one from Topman would be better
2.25pm - left for Bugis Junction Topman and horrified at the crowd. Silver tie out of stock, clothings i like are black in colour
2.30pm - went to Bugis Parco, horrified at the crowd, went to Samuel and Kelvin first, HORRIFIED AT THE NUMBER OF AUNTIES INSIDE (whatever happened to my favourite brand), didnt even take a look, moved on straight away.
current mood - horrified
2.40pm - saw a polo shirt that i wanted, remembered that i did see it at Bugis Street too but this' price tag is a lot higher
2.50pm - walked the whole of parco again
2.55pm - went to Adidas at parco
3.00pm - walked to City Hall MRT to take a train to Orchard, i didnt notice the station and walked past it quite a bit
3.20pm - went to Wisma's Topman, horrified at the crowd, silver tie out of stock, queue went outside of shop, went to Giordano Concept only to realise that its been changed to a normal Giordano
current mood - disappointed
3.30pm - went to CK in Isetan, saw 50% discount, delighted, most clothes are black in colour, disappointed, saw a nice v-neck pullover for 70 bucks in XL size but only managed to find a round neck pullover in M size. saw another nice shirt at 329 bucks, gasped. jun jie slapped me on my back, surprised, he said he's doing last minute shopping too but he's with a group of friends
3.40pm - while leaving wisma, saw hui jeen and jia yong and hui jeen said "oh you doing last minute shopping alone ah?"
current mood - depressed
3.45pm - too lazy to walk to Far East Plaza, took train to Hougang Mall to get some new accessories hoping to change my dressing using them
4.20pm - went to BlackOutz, saw Luke, doubts he even remembers my name, disappointed that the metallic bracelet that i came to get cost a bit too much (like ranging from 30 to 130!!)
current mood - frustrated
4.45pm - went to Old Chang Kee to get curry puff and carrot cake, both ran out
current mood - extremely frustrated
