Thought of the Day: Boot Licking Bitches

Pardon me for being crude here, but what other more descriptive words can i use?

But yeah, dont you just hate them? Especially when they are doing it so shamelessly.

Food: Gelare

Half price waffles rock. Even though i had a bad stomach ache after my Army Half Marathon training, i still ate it without hesitation after one bite. I shared a 3 scoop waffle with Chi Weng Wesley and Zhong Hao. We had some apple yogurt thingy, some chocolate chip thingy and honey malt. The yogurt had a weird taste (still nice nonetheless) and the chocolate chip thingy and honey malt totally rocks. The waffle is so nice and warm too.

Gosh, more stomach ache after that.

Event: Army Half Marathon Training 3

Yesterday was my 4th and final AHM training. We ran 10km again but this time the weather was cold. I say again, COLD. I dont like to run in hot weather, nobody would. But results do say something. Every single one of our timing dropped by quite a bit. Personally my timing dropped by 5 mins but i have no idea whether its because i off-form or what. Cause my position dropped quite a lot too. From platoon 2nd, my position dropped to 4th, and somemore its because Shang Long wasnt around. My company position also dropped to 11th excluding the commanders. I lost to a few people from other platoons whom i have never lost to before. Sian. I also lost my fighting spirit. I didnt really want to chiong and win those who overtook me. But oh well, I guess its ok. At least I'm still platoon top 5 (though i guess See Kiat is quite right that we'll always be platoon top 5, but thats because a few people dont put in effort). The next run will be on Sunday, thats the real thing. See ya there.

Thought of the Day: Dreams

Dreams so such intriguing happenings. They speak of what are your inner desires. It just happened twice for me.

Yet, it is not just a dream. Its fulfills the other meaning of a dream. I dream of being a commander. The dream mind was so far-fetched, and the dream in my heart is so far away. The dream showed me how i was ridiculed by reality. Torn from my dream, i can only dream. And remember the pain i experienced. And thats only one of the 2 dreams.

Sheesh... Dreams...

Event: Army Half Marathon Training 2

Once again I got to run in East Coast Park. Despite tiring training last week and the days before the run, I managed to get a pretty good timing.

Distance: 7km

Timing: around 35mins (5mins/km)
Coy Position (Support/HQ): Third
Platoon Position: Third (some commanders: why signal so damn fast ah?)

Coy Position (Support): 16th (including Commanders who ran 14km but started 20mins earlier)
Platoon Position: Second

My poor friends either didnt feel like running or were off form that day, cause it was hot afterall. Despite having aching knees and ankles 20mins into the run, i managed to get a pretty good timing for such a long run. According to my previous timing, i was starting to take 7mins/km after running more than 7km. But i managed to reduce that to 5mins/km again. Not bad. There were some 6 commanders before me. So i guess i should be about 10th in the company. And i overtook pretty much a lot of commanders on my way back.

On a side note, after the run, we were given nights out. We went to Carl's Junior with our commanders. I ordered Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo, upsize to large plus one Beef Chilli Cheese Fries. I also drank 2 large ice lemon tea and 1 tall Green Tea Frap from Starbucks. The result was disastrous, making me on the verge of vomit from East Coast all the way back to Mandai Hill. And the worst was the feeling didnt stop until 2 days later. Disastrous indeed. (and many of my platoon mates almost puked during our journey back too)

Event: Signal Gathering

On friday after book out, some of the us from platoon 11/07 went to a gathering at Fish and Co @ The Glass House. It was actually supposed to be a farewell gathering for Yen Shan who will be going to Brunei for 1 year in 2 weeks time. We also wanted to catch up with our dear sexy auntie-killer ang mo friend Robert. After a good chat at Fish and Co with 12 people, we left and went to Secret Recipe at Plaza Singapura though Chi Weng and Shaun Lim and Shaun Yap had to go. After we had our pies and cakes at Secret Recipe, the bikers went home to prepare for guard duty and Iven and Shang Long went off too. The rest of us decided to go play pool somewhere.

I forgot to take a photo of the New York Fish and Chips! Argh. And i only remember to take a photo of my Choz Cheese only after i've eaten more than half of it.

Event: 1SIR 52nd Anniversary Celebration

On thursday night, the First Battalion had its anniversary celebration. I really didnt think that an army battalion's celebration would be like this, neither had i predicted that i would actually stand on the bench to get a clearer view (since i sit all the way at the back). But you know, at least i didnt chiong all the way to the front of the stage (like some people did) to see what they really wanted to. Well a hint was that during particular performance, the song played was "we're bringing sexyback... YEAH!".

There were games involving each company to bring out their best men (such as tallest, fattest, biggest butt, but Support Coy obviously lost because we're too fit and the emcee had a cork in his eye to not see that the signal platoon sergeant is obviously the most muscular guy in the battalion), there were songs (pretty bad ones at that, coupled with, erm, a few warm layers of skin), there were BBQ food (i ate 1x hotdog, 1x satay and 3x 1cm by 5cm otah), there was lucky draw, and there was "we're bringing sexyback... YEAH!" which was the only thing which made me stand on the bench for so long (it made me realised that i was quite thin actually too). It was more fun than i expected. Especially when Support was singing Apologise, when they asked for the hairest man and i was pulling Iven to go up on stage, when we were looking at young innocent and unwilling boys being, erm, brought sexyback to... In the end, HQ Coy won the competition. Like, wow. Support wasnt bad at all though. We won the "dunnoe what" skills competition held in the morning and the Safety Notice Board competition.

Thought of the Day: Some People Are Born...

My buddy says i'll burn in hell for saying this. Nonetheless, he has but got to agree with it.

I dont like to mention names. But you know... (here goes..)

Some people are born retarded. They work so hard to transit from being retarded to being f-ed up. Oops pardon my language. But i cant find a more apt word to describe it. Anyhow, they suffered so much to make so much more improvement. Com'on people. You have to agree with me that they should be sympathised with, not hated. You agree, yes?

Then some people are not born retarded. But they work so hard to act like the f-ed up self they are. You know, it sometimes takes courage to be yourself. I mean, not everyone's born to be near perfect. Being ourselves can be difficult. These people should be praised, no? What i'm trying to say is, they even dare to make themselves LOOK retarded. This act surely deserves some credit.

Then some people are born retarded, and they stay retarded. We cant just assume that its because they refuse to learn, aint i right? They should be encouraged, not looked down upon or criticised, even if they look retarded, act like they are retarded, look f-ed up, or look like they act like they are f-ed up.

You get my drift?

Movie: The Dark Knight

Oh my god this has to be the movie of the year. Even one week after i've watched the movie, im still so thrilled about it. The joker is so cool. I love the way he talks and thinks. Gosh i'm going crazy too.

You have to watch it. Period.

why so SERIOUS?
